How it works

Two fascia screws are used to mount the hanger inside of the deck framing rim. The sleeve on the hanger is adjustable to set to the correct height of the fascia board. Once the board is cut and the holes are drilled into the fascia, it is intended for 1 person to mount fascia to the deck.

The trouble I ran into when working alone is trying to hold the long somewhat heavy awkward material and get it to stay in place so I could make sure all miters looked perfect. Once the board is set on the hangers, you can slide the board left to right or it can be held in place while you screw the fascia to the deck rim. When the board is fully attached you just unscrew the hangers and move onto the next piece. I felt this saved me time and didn’t have to have another set of hands just to hold or adjust the fascia.

Where it all started

My name is Colin Kimball. While I owned and operated my construction business, I mainly focused on decks and always recommended composite first. While working alone, I had trouble installing the fascia board by myself. I designed and created a fascia hanger that one person can mount and install full length pieces with ease. For best results, mounting two Face lift fascia hangers will make the job almost hands free. The Face Lift is designed to install fascia to deck joists in 2x8, 2x10 and 2x12.
